About this Web Site
“The design” of this site (the unique combination of layout, images, colors, photos, etc.) is also copyright © 2008 Scott Haefner and may not be reproduced. Feel free to learn from the ideas and techniques used here, but do not reproduce the site as your own work.
If you like this software and want to create a web site to showcase your photography, I can help. For a one-time fee, I will set everything up and teach you how to maintain your new site via an easy-to-use, web-based application. You will be able to add, edit and delete photos using a web browser running on any computer that is connected to the Internet. Please contact me for more information.
I programmed this site using the open source, web scripting language PHP. It is driven by a few templates that dynamically create the web pages from a MySQL database on the web server. The markup is XHTML 1 Transitional and it uses CSS 2 instead of tables for layout. In short, this creates more accessible, leaner code that is easier to maintain and renders faster.
